Dr Avnindra Gupta, the director of the centre, has done his graduation and post-graduation from the prestigious Banaras Hindu University.

Thereafter he did his fellowship in retina & vitreous from the well known Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai and then joined as a Vitreo-Retinal consultant there.
Later, he was promoted as the in – charge of Department of Retina Vitreous at Aravind Eye Hospital Tirunelveli.

In his illustrious career, Dr Avnindra Gupta has trained ophthalmologists, and delivered various lectures in national, state and district level conferences and CME programmes. He has also presented difficult cases at various forums. He received Best Video award for his surgical skill in EURETINA( A conference of 5000 retina surgeon of Europe and America) Conference in London
With his dedicated efforts in the field of ophthalmology, Dr. Avnindra Gupta is a National Faculty in various Conference which involves teaching and sharing of knowledge.

Dr Vibha Gupta is also an alumna of the renowned Banaras Hindu University, having done her graduation and post graduation from there.

She did her fellowship in IOL & Phacoemulsification from the reputed Aravind Eye Hospital,Madurai and then joined as a consultant and in-charge of IOL and oculoplasty clinic at Aravind Eye Hospital, Tirunelveli.

In her remarkable career, she has performed over 25,000 cataract surgeries, and has trained numerous ophthalmologists in their surgical skills.
She also served as the trainer of the trainees at Aravind Eye Hospital Tirunelveli.

She has presented papers related to skill development at various forums.
She also has specialization in pediatric cataract and oculoplasty.

Her competence and commitment distinguish her as a compassionate and caring doctor in this era of wherein the sanctity of health care sector is alleged to have been diluted by blatant commercialization.
